The Human Body Project was first started in 2006 by teacher, mother and visual artist Tasha Diamant. By appearing naked and unscripted on-stage, Diamant embodies human vulnerability.
I spoke with Tasha about how The Human Body Project started. We discussed how this performance art is both a resistance to aspects of Western culture and a form of healing.
The Human Body Project is playing at VCM Wood Hall. For more information, visit www.humanbodyproject.com.
