Assassinating Thomson

Canadian artist Bruce Horak is bringing his award-winning show Assassinating Thomson to the 2013 Victoria Fringe Festival. Horak tells the story of fellow Canadian artist Tom Thomson and attempts to resolve some of the mystery surrounding his unsolved murder. Woven into the story is a live painting of the audience from the perspective of Horak who is a legally blind artist. This show sold out at the Winnipeg Fringe and is currently enjoying a run at the Edmonton Fringe before coming here  to Victoria. I caught up with Horak while on his travels to talk about the inspiration for the show and it’s unique elements.

Assassinating Thomson opens on Tuesday, August 27th at the Victoria Event Centre.

Until next time,
